Organization of training programme for Veterinary Faculty of Karnataka held from 28-30th June, 2017

 

A three-day training programme on “Molecular techniques in Animal Health and production” was organized at the institute from 28-30th June, 2017 for the faculty of Veterinary College Hassan and Shivmoga (KVAFSU, Bidar, Karnataka). The programme was inaugurated by Dr Ashwani Kumar, Deputy Director of National Malaria Research Institute, Goa Centre and spoke about importance of collaborative research and education in the field of medical and veterinary institutes. Dr Chakurkar E B, Director of the institute explained about the importance of training programme on molecular techniques for teaching and research. Dr Shivasharanappa N, Scientist and Course Coordinator briefed about the techniques and facilities of molecular biology at the institute. A total of 24 participants from Veterinary University and scientists of the institute were present in the inaugural session.
