Distribution of agricultural and animal husbandry inputs to the farmers under ICAR-RTSP Programme

 

Shri. Narendra K. Sawaikar. Hon’ble Member of Parliament (South Goa) distributed agricultural and animal husbandry inputs to the farmers under ICAR-Tribal Sub Plan program

    Shri. Narendra K. Sawaikar. Hon’ble Member of Parliament (South Goa) distributed agricultural tools like power sprayers, grass-cutting machines, fertilizers and by-pass fat to the farmers under ICAR-Tribal Sub Plan program on 5th, September 2015 at ICAR – Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Old Goa.

    About 40 tribal farmers and women from different  self help groups   from all over Goa participated in the program. The farmers actively participated and interacted with scientists with regard to various farming technologies. The program  is being supported by Govt of India under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP).  Dr. Narendra Prathap Singh, Director, ICAR-CCARI-Old Goa presided over the function and requested the farmers to utilize the inputs provided under this program. Dr E B Chakurkar, Head, Animal Sciences Section and Dr A. R. Desai, Senior Scientist (Horticulture) explained the various technologies to be adopted in the tribal areas for better yield and economic returns. Dr Maruthadurai, R., Scientist (Agricultural Entomology) and TSP Coordinator  proposed vote of thanks.  Scientists from different section, technical staff was present during the program.
