ICAR-CCARI inks MoU with TERI, Goa

The ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-CCARI), Goa, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI), a prominent non-profit research institute, to engage in collaborative research, extension, and capacity building in agriculture, fisheries, and allied sectors on 18-06-2024. This partnership aims to address vulnerabilities and knowledge gaps in small-scale fish farming communities, promote climate-smart fish farming, adopt climate-resilient technologies and infrastructure, and establish a knowledge-sharing platform along with market linkages.

Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director of ICAR-CCARI, highlighted the significance of this collaboration, stating, "This association will play a pivotal role in the holistic and sustainable development of coastal life by leveraging the combined expertise of both institutes."

Dr. Elroy Pereira, Associate Fellow from TERI expressed gratitude to Dr. Parveen Kumar and the ICAR-CCARI team for initiating this collaborative venture. They emphasized TERI's commitment to providing all necessary support to ICAR-CCARI to facilitate research, capacity building, and extension activities in the relevant fields.
