ICAR-CCARI, Old Goa and ICAR-KVK, North Goa jointly organized Technology Day

    On the occasion of 95^th Foundation Day of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), ICAR-CCARI, Old Goa and ICAR-KVK, North Goa jointly organized a Technology Day at Talaulim village of Ponda Taluka on 18^th July, 2023.

      

    Shri. H. R. C. Prabhu, Sr. Scientist and Head I/c, ICAR-KVK, North Goa, explained about the technologies such as salt tolerant rice varieties, improved cashew varieties, etc. and highlighted the importance of millets. Dr. Shripad Bhat, Senior Scientist (Agril. Economics) and Nodal Officer of Institute Technology management Unit (ITMU) informed the participants about the technologies of the Institute & the Agri-Business Incubation (ABI) facilities available for farmers & entrepreneurs. Shri Rahul Kulkarni, Assistant Chief Technical Officer (ACTO) explained the steps involved in preparation of various formulations such as Jeevamrut, Brahmashtra, Neemashtra, Dashparni Ark, etc. used in the natural farming.

   

    The details of the technologies available with the Institute were showcased through posters, extension folders, live samples, etc. for the benefit of farmers and agri-entrepreneurs. A total of 34 participants attended and interacted during this event.

   

    The event was jointly coordinated by Mr. HRC Prabhu, I/c KVK and Dr. Shripad Bhat, Nodal Officer, ITMU of ICAR-CCARI, Goa with technical assistance from Shri Rahul Kulkarni, ACTO, Shri. Vishwajeet Prajapati, Technical Officer (Computer) and Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Research Associate, ITMU.
