Visit of Scientists from MS Swaminathan Research Foundation
Dr. G. N. Hariharan and Dr. R. Ramasubramanian from MS Swaminathan Research Foundation, Chennai, along with Dr. N. G. Hanumaratti (UAS Dharwad) visited the institute to see the ongoing research activities pertaining to rice breeding. They visited the micro-plot facility and seed production plot in the institute farm. The discussion was held to formulate a collaborative research programme to work on rice research with special emphasis on coastal salinity. The team met director Dr. E. B. Chakurkar, and discussed about the future possible collaborative work to be taken up between ICAR-CCARI and MSSRF, Chennai.
