Visit of Dr. Sujay Rakshit, Director, ICAR-Indian Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology, Ranchi

    Dr. Sujay Rakshit, Director, ICAR-Indian Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology, Ranchi, visited ICAR-CCARI on December 26, 2024. He was warmly welcomed by Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director of ICAR-CCARI, Goa, who provided an overview of the institute's ongoing activities. During his visit, Dr. Rakshit visited various facilities, including the paddy experimental fields, salinity screening micro plots, molecular biology laboratory in the Crop Sciences section, the animal science unit, the biogas unit, and the Nakshatra garden. He commended the institute's ongoing research initiatives and praised the Director and scientists for maintaining the premises in an organized and presentable manner. Dr. Rakshit also expressed interest in collaborating with ICAR-CCARI on research focusing on abiotic stress physiology with special reference to submergence tolerance in rice.
