ICAR-CCARI organized a two-day training programme on ‘Skill building of young minds for agriculture as an enterprise’

ICAR- Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Old Goa. Goa organized a two-day training programme on ‘Skill building of young minds for agriculture as an enterprise’ on 18-19 October 2023. The skill-building programme was attended by about 60 students and five faculties of ITI and NIOS of Montfort Academy, Corlim, Goa. The training programme involved technical sessions on building entrepreneurship through Agribusiness Incubation (ABI) and AGNI of ICAR-CCARI, Goa. Further, practical demonstrations were given on post-harvest processing, value addition and different aspects of farm machinery. Exposure on production of organic preparation and propagation techniques through nursery raising were imparted. The students also visited soil testing and post-harvest processing laboratories.

The Coordinators of the training programme were Mr. Vinod Anand Ubarhande, ACTO(FS), Dr. Gopal Ramdas Mahajan, Sr. Scientist (Soil Science) and Dr. Mathala Juliet Gupta, Principal Scientist (ASPE). The technical assistance for the training programme was extended by Mrs. Pranjali Wadekar, STO (Computers)
