ICAR-CCARI, Goa organized awareness program and medical camp for prevention of monsoon diseases through Siddha Medicine

    ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (CCARI), Goa in collaboration with Siddha Clinical Research Unit (SCRU), Ribandar organized an awareness program and medical camp for prevention of monsoon diseases through Siddha Medicine on 11 August, 2023 at our Institute. Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director ICAR-CCARI, Goa welcomed the guests and shared his experiences on practicing traditional medicines and knowledge in overall health management. Dr. S.Vinayak, Research Officer (Siddha), SCRU delivered a lecture on  important monsoon diseases and their management through Siddha. He also gave a brief history of Siddha medicine. Dr. J.Jayasheeba Consultant (Siddha), SCRU gave a brief introduction about Siddha Clinical Research Unit. After the awareness program, a free medical camp was organized by SCRU to all the staff of ICAR-CCARI, Goa. Dr. Santhosh, Consultant (Siddha) also attended the program and medical camp. The program and camp was attended by 50 staff and their family. The program was compered and coordinated by Dr. Uthappa, A R, Scientist (Agroforestry).
