Swachhata Ki Pathshaala – A workshop for students by ICAR CCARI
ICAR CCARI conducted a workshop for students about cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene practices under the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 campaign at Old Goa Education Society’s Institute, Ela,Old Goa on 18th September 2024.
Smt. Madina Sollapuri (ACTO) briefed about the purpose of said workshop under the theme "Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskaar Swachhata." The resource person, Dr. Namrata Gauns Naik (MBBS), Authorized Medical Attendant of CCARI explained self-cleanliness and its importance in detail. She highlighted the various good practices for the children to lead a healthy life by practicing sanitation and hygiene in their daily routines. The proper way of washing hands before meals, brushing teeth, taking baths, using and disposing of sanitary napkins, especially for the girls, and keeping rooms and surroundings clean to avoid the spread of diseases like malaria and dengue etc. were discussed in detail.
Shri Dattaram Shet (Headmaster) also briefed in short about the importance of cleanliness at school, home and surroundings. He urged all students to follow the good practices of sanitation and hygiene as guided by the doctor. About 50 students of 8th and 9th standards along with teaching and non-teaching staff attended the workshop.
