ICAR- CCARI celebrates National Science Day

 

India celebrates “National science Day “ nationwide on 28 February every year to  mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir Chandrashekhara Venkata Raman, recipient of prestigious Noble Prize.

ICAR- CCARI, Old Goa celebrated National Science Day at the Institute. Dr Tapas Bhattacharya, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli was the Chief Guest of the function. At the outset Director, Dr. E. B. Chakurkar welcomed the Chief Guest and remarked that hard work is the worship to God.

Dr. Tapas Bhattacahrya in his key note address explained the difference between knowledge and Science and also stated that everyone should ask “WHY” and try to find out the scientific reason for any experiment.

Shri. Sidhahrth K Marathe, Senior Technical Officer and Public Relation Officer compared the function and proposed vote of thanks.
