ICAR- CCARI, Goa organized ‘Save Soil’ campaign at Surla, Bicholim, Goa @AKAM

             A ‘Save Soil’ campaign was organized by ICAR- CCARI, Goa  and ICAR – Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), North Goa in collaboration with Isha Foundation at Surla, Bicholim on 04-07-2022 under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. As a part of the programme Bike Rally from Pune to Goa reached the village at 02:30 pm. The programme was to create awareness about saving the precious soil. The volunteers of the Isha foundation spread the message through video and sharing their experience during bike rally. Shri H. R. C. Prabhu, Sr. Scientist and Head Incharge, ICAR – KVK, North Goa and Shri Rahul Kulkarni, Assistant Chief Technical Officer, ICAR – KVK , North Goa gave lecture on the importance of saving the soil, water and plants. The volunteers from Junior Chamber International (JCI), Sanquelim, Bicholim and students of Don Bosco College of Agriculture, Sulkorna also took part in the programme. The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Sunetra Talaulikar, Subject Matter Specialist (Home Science), ICAR – KVK, North Goa and was attended by more then 75 participants.
