ICAR-CCARI, Goa felicitated Padma Shri 2024 awardee, Sh. Sanjay Anant Patil

    On 26th January 2024, ICAR - Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute Goa celebrated the 75th Republic Day. On this occasion, Shri Sanjay Anant Patil (59), an innovative farmer from Goa who has been conferred with the coveted Padma Shri 2024, was felicitated. Shri Patil was conferred with the prestigious and coveted Padma Shri Award 2024 by the Government of India for his remarkable contributions to Natural Farming and Zero-energy Micro-Irrigation Systems. The Director and team of ICAR-CCARI, Goa, had documented Shri Patil's technologies through good quality photographs and prepared the application for the nomination of Padma Awards 2024, which was subsequently nominated through the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa. Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa congratulated and felicitated Shri Sanjay Patil on this occasion. On behalf of the ICAR-CCARI, Dr. Parveen Kumar expressed a great sense of happiness as an innovative farmer got recognized at the national level, setting an extraordinary example for future generations to adopt and promote natural farming. During his address, Shri Sanjay Anant Patil shared his journey of natural farming from his childhood and expressed his gratitude to the Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa, and his team for documenting his hard work and innovation. Progressive farmers, all the staff members, including contractual workers, family members of staff, and security guards attended the felicitation of Padma Shri Awardee Shri Sanjay Anant Patil.
