RABI MEETING
Rabi meeting was
organized at KVK on 18/02/2017.Mr.H.R.C.Prabhu.Programme
Coordinator I/C, in his welcome address briefed on the purpose of the
meeting, review the programmes at the villages,exposure to the
activities of the KVK and the institute and also to interact with
Scientists. Dr. E.B.Chakurkar Director,ICAR- CCARI, in his address
spoke on the importance of adopting the modern technologies for
doubling the income of the farmers in next 5 years. He also stressed on
the use of cow urine in pest management of different crops. Mrs. Sunetra
Talaulikar,Subject Matter Specialist (Home Science) gave work done
report of Surla village while Dr. Sanjay Kumar Udharwar, Subject Matter
Specialist (Animal Science) gave report of KVK activities at Ibrampur
village and lecture on ‘silage in dairy’. Coconut, mango plants and
dairy medicinal kits were distributed to the farmers. Dr.
Maruthadurai,Scientist(Entomology) and Ms. Maneesha,
Scientist(Horticulture) also interacted with farmers. Later on farmers
were taken for field visit at KVK and institute. In all 65 farmers from
Ibrampur, Surla, Pilar, Taleigao and Betki villages participated in the
meeting . Mrs. Sunetra Talaulikar proposed vote of thanks.
