PMFME Sponsored  Food Processing EDP training for Credit Linked Subsidy beneficiaries

        A three days Food Processing EDP training for Credit Linked Subsidy was conducted during June 19 to 21, 2023 at ICAR CCARI. Total number of beneficiaries for the training were 21 from Bardez, Ponda and Bicholim taluka of North Goa and Madgaon , Salcete taluka of South Goa. The beneficiaries were trained on various aspects like Overview of PMFME, understanding supply chain in food processing industries, Brief mention of other government of India Schemes supporting food processing enterprises by Dr. Mathala Gupta, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CCARI, An introduction to Entrepreneurship covering topics like objectives of EDP, characteristics of an entrepreneur, managerial skills etc. was covered by Dr. Sapna Arora, Assistant Professo, Dept. of Food Business Management & Entrepreneurship Development, NIFTEM, Kundali, Haryana through online mode. Basics of  Packaging & labelling requirements, introduction to HACCP FSMS certification, FSSAI license/registration and renewal, FosCos regulations for food quality was delivered by Mr. Lenin D’sa , Food safety Officer from FDA, Bambolim, Mr. Pravin Sabnis from Unlearning Unlimited organization  explained in detail about establishing an Enterprise , market survey, business plan etc. The trainees were given indepth knowledge of banking & Funding procedures like General bank system, Bank loans , Mudra Yojana by Mr. Sunil Goel, former Bank Officer through online mode. Er. Vinod Atkari, Assistant professor, Govt. College of Agriculture, Goa briefed them about plant layout and maintenance, procurement of machinery & raw material storage, transportation etc. Ms. Kanika Gupta, Company Secretary, New Delhi explained the regulatory requirements for setting up of factory, Udyam registration, IPR, Trademark registered, Income Tax/PAN, Export- Import licence by through online mode, Sh. Rajat Bansal, Company Secretary, Rajat Bansal & Associates introduced he trainees to financial management through online mode. Dr. Harishankar Shyam gave them a summary of marketing techniques & Digital marketing, logistic supply chain, branding etc. Through online mode. This was followed by hands on training at post-harvest lab and Virgin coconut oil unit, Food Domains, Value addition, Raw material, Tools/ Equipment's/Machineries as per Capacity by Dr. Mathala Juliet Gupta Principal Scientist, ICAR-CCARI.
