PMFME Sponsored Seed Capital SHG Beneficiaries’ Training Programme

One day Seed Capital SHG Training was conducted on March 14 2023, in two batches.  Total number of beneficiaries in Batch I were 25 from Bardez   taluka  & Batch II were 29 from Tiswadi & Bardez taluka of North Goa .

The beneficiaries were trained on various aspects of Food Processing Entrepreneurship covering topics like Overview of PMFME, understanding supply chain in food processing industries, other government of India Schemes supporting food processing enterprises Procurement of Machinery & Raw Material, Storage, Transportation, Recruitment & Staff by Dr. Mathala Gupta, Senior Scientist, ICAR CCARI. Motivation, Inventory Management: Record keeping of daily transactions, Maintain Purchase register, Sales register etc; Working Capital Management: working capital decisions, cash in hand for emergency etc. by Mr. Bhairao Zore, Training Faculty at Unlearning Unlimited, Panaji. An introduction to packaging with different packaging methods & machines involved in packaging by Dr. Mathala Gupta, Senior Scientist, ICAR CCARI. Basics and benefits: FSSAI Registration & Licensing, Schedule IV – FSSAI (GMP, GHP, GLP practices including requirement for testing of food products) Udyami registration, GST & PAN by Nousin Mulla, Food Safety Officer, Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration, followed by hands on training at post-harvest lab and Virgin coconut oil unit using food based domains by Dr. Mathala Juliet Gupta & Mrs. Sunetra Talaulikar.
