ICAR-CCARI, Goa organized an Ideation Hackathon on Composting/Biogas production @ Mission LiFE

 

ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa, and ICAR- KVK, North Goa, organized an Ideation Hackathon on Composting/Biogas production on 29 May, 2023 under Mission Lifestyle for Environment. This programme was virtual organized by Agribusiness Incubation Centre (AGNI- ABI) of ICAR-CCARI, Goa. Dr. (Ms.) Mathala Juliet Gupta, PI of AGNI- ABI in her inaugural remarks briefed about the importance of incubation centre in nurturing the agri-start-ups. She also motivated all the participants to pursue their ideas and to become an entrepreneur. The hackathon was judged by Dr. (Ms.) Mathala Juliet Gupta, Principal Scientist (Agri. Structures and Process Engineering), Dr. R. Solomon Rajkumar, Senior Scientist, (Livestock Products Technology), Dr. Gopal R. Mahajan, Senior Scientist (Soil Science) and Dr. Uthappa A. R. Scientist (Agroforestry). Total 8 participants pitched their ideas like smart composting systems, extracting useful chemicals and household eco-friendly composting methods to convert the agricultural waste to wealth. The programme was overall coordinated by Dr. Uthappa, A. R., Shri Vinod Ubarhande, Shri Rahul Kulkarni, Shri Vishwajeet Prajapati and Kushmala I.C. under Mission LiFE.
