ICAR- CCARI Participated in Krishi Unnatti Mela 2017 at ICAR-IARI New Delhi

 

 Krishi Unnatti Mela 2017, was organized by ICAR at IARI Campus, New Delhi from 15/03/17 to 17/03/17. In all, 139 various ICAR Institutes along with KVK’s and Agricultural Universities and around 50 Private Companies participated in the Mela. On 15/03/17 the Mela was inaugurated by Honorable Union Minister for Agriculture Shri. Radha Mohan Singh.

 Officers from ICAR CCARI Goa- Dr. Parmesha V. (Scientist - Agronomy) and Shri Rahul M. Kulkarni (Sr. Tech. Officer - NRM) had displayed the various exhibits of the Institute along with the posters. The Director- Dr. E.B.Chakurkar was also present. Farmers across the country visited the ICAR-CCARI stall. The various exhibits were explained by the officers to the visitors. Approximately 1500 farmers visited the stall during a period of 3 days. The visitors seeked the information on newly released varieties of Rice and Cashew. The value added products such as Cashew apple crunch, Nutmeg taffy, Nutmeg mouth freshner, Cashew apple syrup and Nutmeg pericarp syrup, By-pass fat, Karad grass block attracted the visitors. Some of the important publications of the Institute were also displayed. The Mela concluded on 17/03/17.
