ICAR – CCARI, Participated in ‘Krishi Mahotsav’ at Quepem, South Goa

    ICAR – Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute participated in the ‘Krishi Mahotsav’ at Quepem, South Goa on 04/01/2022. The program was inaugurated by Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. In his address he appreciated the efforts of Goa Government in making Swayampurna Goa and Atmanirbhar Bharat. Dr. Pramod Sawant, Hon’ble Chief minister, Goa, in his remarks appreciated efforts of ICAR – CCARI, in preparing vision document on Agriculture and support to Swayampurna Mitras through training on agricultural technologies. Shri Chandrakant Babu Kavlekar, Hon’ble Deputy Chief minister and Minister of Agriculture, Goa, in his welcome address thanked all the farmers in making Goa to march towards self-sufficiency.

    Farmers were given “Star Farmer” and “Young Farmer” awards during the program. Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR – CCARI felicitated the Chief Guest Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. ICAR – CCARI and KVK – North Goa participated in the exhibition by showcasing various institute technologies for the benefit of farmers. More than 3000 farmers visited our stall and got the information of agricultural technologies.
