ICAR-KVK, North Goa Conducted Training on 'Importance of Feeding Green Fodder in Dairy Cattle' at Mayem under TDC-NICRA

 

Prof. Karim Maredia, Director of International Programs, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Michigan State University visited ICAR-CCARI, Goa

    On 8th January, 2025 Prof. Karim Maredia, Director of International Programs, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Michigan State University, USA visited ICAR-CCARI, Goa. Prof. Karim Maredia along with Dr. J.R. Faleiro, FAO Consultant visited the fields, animal units and other facilities of the institute. He congratulated the Director and appreciated the efforts of the scientists and, the quality research work being carried out at ICAR-CCARI. On this occasion, an interaction meeting of Prof. Karim with the scientists of the institute was organized. Dr. Sujeet Desai coordinated the interaction meeting.  Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, welcomed Prof. Karim and emphasized the possibility of long-term collaborations between MSU and ICAR-CCARI, scientific exposure of scientists at MSU, and interdisciplinary collaborative research for sustainability in the coastal ecosystem. A brief presentation on the significant achievements of the institute was delivered by Dr. Solomon Rajkumar, Senior Scientist (LPT). Prof. Karim Maredia delivered a presentation on the ongoing activities and international collaborations of College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, MSU. He highlighted the possibilities of collaborations between ICAR-CCARI and MSU in the field of water management, soil health, climate change, fisheries and agroecotourism. Field visits were coordinated by Dr. Sujeet Desai and Dr. Gopal Mahajan.
