Visit of Dr. Jagpal Singh, Principal Scientist, Indian Institute of Farming System Research
Dr. Jagpal Singh, Principal Scientist, Indian Institute of Farming System Research visited the institute on 25th July 2016 to review the progress of work done under ICAR-IIFSR funded All India Coordinated Research Project on Integrated Farming System. He visited the plantation crop based (upland) and rice based (low land) farming system. He praised cleanliness and general maintenance of the field. He also suggested to revival of farm ponds, planting of grass on the dykes of farm ponds. Dr. Paramesha. V, Scientist (PI) Agronomy, Dr. Gopal R Mahajan and Mr. Viswanath reddy were also present during his visit. Later, the monitoring team discussed with Dr. Narendra Pratap Singh, Director, ICAR-CCARI.
