ICAR-CCARI, Goa celebrated “World Intellectual Property Day”

 

    The “World Intellectual Property Day” was celebrated at ICAR – CCARI, Goa with the theme of Women and IP: Accelerating Innovation and Creativity on 26th April, 2023. Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa chaired the session and highlighted the role of women in innovation and creativity. Dr. Shripad Bhat, Senior Scientist (Agril. Economics) & Nodal Officer, ITMU briefed about the role of ITMU in IP management. Dr. R.S. Rajkumar, Senior Scientist (LPT) presented about the protection of geographical indication for agricultural produce – need of the hour. Dr. Mathala Juliet Gupta, Senior Scientist (AS & PE) and PI, ABI spoke on accelerating innovation and creativity through AGNI (ABI of ICAR-CCARI, Goa). Women scientists (Dr. Susitha Rajkumar and Dr. Nibedita Nayak) and Subject Matter Specialists (Smt. Sunetra Talaulikar and Dr. Monica Singh) of ICAR-CCARI, Goa shared their experience. This event was jointly organized by AGNI, Agri Business Incubation (ABI) Center and Institute Technology Management Unit (ITMU) of the institute. A total of 45 participants attended the event.
