National Workshop on "Hydrophonic Maize Fodder Production and Use of Bypass Fat in Dairy Animals"

 

Shri. Narendra K. Sawaikar. Hon’ble Member of Parliament (South Goa) inaugurated a two day National workshop on "Hydrophonic maize fodder production and Use of Bypass fat in dairy animals" during 29-30th June, 2015 at ICAR – Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Old Goa

About 60 progressive farmers from Goa and other states of the country participated training program at ICAR Institute, Old Goa. The farmers were demonstrated the hydrophonic green fodder technology at the field level. The programme is being supported by Govt of India under Rastriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY).  The function was graced by Dr. N.C. Sawant, Managing Director, Goa Dairy and Dr. R. B Dhuri, Manager, Goa Dairy. Dr. Narendra Pratap Singh, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Old Goa presided over the function and emphasized the importance of the Hydrophonic green fodder production. Dr. P. K. Naik the subject expert from ICARI-CARI, Bhubaneshwar has given a lecture on the Hydrophonic fodder production. Dr E B Chakurkar, Head, Animal Sciences Section welcomed the dignitaries and Dr R Solomon Rajkumar, Scientist proposed vote of thanks.
