ICAR – CCARI, Goa organizes a special lecture on “Unlocking the treasures of happiness” under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostav

    In commemoration of India's 75 years of Independence as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostav, ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa organized a special lecture on “Unlocking the treasures of happiness” on 1st April, 2022 in a hybrid mode. The speaker Dr. Avtar Singh, Retd. Principal Scientist, ICAR-NDRI, Karnal, a renowned motivational speaker and a spiritual counsellor delivered the special lecture. In his insightful lecture he gave a holistic picture of different aspects of mental and spiritual life, which are needed to have stress free and happy life. He also highlighted the importance of happiness in professional, social and personal life. Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director of ICAR-CCARI, Goa welcomed the guest and talked about the importance of mental health and spirituality in the modern world. He further emphasised that a peaceful and happy mind will always increase the productivity of an individual as well as the Institute. This special lecture was attended by 125 Institute staff physically and 72 staff joined this lecture virtually from different ICAR Institutes across the country. This programme was coordinated by Dr. Uthappa, A.R., Scientist (Agroforestry).
