ICAR – CCARI celebrated 30^th foundation day

ICAR – Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Old Goa celebrated 30^th Foundation Day on 7th April 2018. Honorable Speaker-Goa Legislative Assembly Dr. Promod Sawant was the chief guest for the function.

An exhibition was organized to showcase the significant technologies developed and research work carried out by the Institute.

Dr. E. B. Chakurkar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, welcomed the chief guest and participants and gave a brief presentation about the Institute, its activities and output.

Shri Nelson Figueiredo, Director, Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Goa and Dr. Santosh V. Desai, Director, Department of AH&VS, Govt. of Goa  were also present during the celebration.

Among the participants, Krishi Unnati IARI Innovative farmer winner – Mr. Chinmay Tanshikar, Tanshikar Spice Farm, Netravali, Sanguem, Goa , Mr. Janicio Fredrick Fernandes, M/s Jenix Aquarium Private Limited, Shri Sanjiv Kunkalienkar, Shri Ganpat Prakash, Shri Shivdutta Bhomakar, Shri Gajanan Pundalik Vaigankar, Ms Mercelia Gomes, Shri. Umesh Tolu Gaonkar, Shri Purushottam Naik Desai, Shri. Kamalakant Tendulkar, Shri. Uday Bhate, Shri. Uday Mandrekar, Shri Ashok Joshi, Shri Navanath Surlakar, Shri Angelo Barretto, Shri Dhilan Velip, Shri Abhijit Sawaikar, Shri. Judas Quadros, Shri. Dilraj Phaldesai, Shri. Babu Kurade (S/o. Srihari kurade), Shri Vasant Joshi, Shri Keith Gracias, Shri Sanjay Pereira, Mr Custodio Fernandes, Jai Shri Ram Gosanvrdhan Kendra, Valpoi, Sattari, Goa, Dwarakapuri Gauseva  Ashram (Trust),  Tisk-Usgaon, Shri Suhas Phadte and Shri Sudhir Dhauskar H. were also felicitated.  On the occasion, the ex-staff of the Institute and those staff who have complete 25 years were also felicitated. The staff of the Institute were awarded with various annual awards.

One technical bulletin –Technical Bulletin No. 64/2018 - "Few Egg cited recipes from Goa" and three leaflets 1. गायी म्हशीतील लसीकरण , 2. गायी म्हशीतील बाह्यरोपजीवी नियंत्रण and 3. नवजात वासरांची काळजी were released by Dr. Promod Sawant, the chief guest of the function.

 Dr. Pramod Sawant in his address appreciated the research work and extension activities being carried out by the Institute.
