ICAR-CCARI, Goa organized Field day cum farmers’ interaction meet at Heroor village, Udipi, Karnataka

 

ICAR-CCARI, Goa organized a field visit and interaction meet with dairy and poultry farmers at Heroor village, Udupi, Karnataka on 11^th January, 2025. Dr. Shirish Narnaware, Senior Scientist (Veterinary Pathology), ICAR-CCARI provided guidance on clean milk production, disease prevention, nutritional and reproductive management, and judicial use of antimicrobials in dairy and poultry.

Dr. Udharwar S.V., Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science), ICAR-KVK, North Goa offered advice on surgical and gynaecological treatments, addressing reproductive health issues and cultivation of high yielding fodder varieties which are crucial for livestock productivity. He also provided guidance to poultry farmers on importance of vaccination and prevention and management of viral infections in poultry.

A total of 11 dairy and poultry farmers participated and interacted during the programme.  The event was coordinated by and Dr. Shirish Narnaware and Dr. Udharwar S.V.
