Valedictory function of ICAR Short course organised at ICAR-CCARI, Goa
ICAR Sponsored short course entitled “Ecosystem service analysis in diversified coconut and arecanut gardens” was held from 21 Feb 2022 to 02 Mar 2022 (10 days) at ICAR-CCARI, Old Goa, Goa in hybrid mode with 13 participants attending through physical mode and 13 through online mode. The valedictory function of the training was held at the campus in hybrid mode on 2.03.22 where, Dr. S. K. Chaudhari, DDG (NRM) graced the occasion as Chief Guest and gave a thought-provoking address on coconut and arecanut ecosystem services and management practices and the methods required to quantify and evaluate the ecosystem services have truly inspired us. Dr. Narendra Pratap Singh, Emeritus Scientist joined the function as Guest of honor and gave his remarks on kulagar gardens of Konkan coast and the intricacies in studying the complex agroecosystem. Dr Parveen Kumar Director, ICAR CCARI gave remarks on the course and explained the way forward on the studies on ecosystem services.
Dr V Arunachalam Course Director gave a brief report of the course. Dr Paramesha V Course Coordinator proposed a vote of thanks. Dr Uthappa AR Course coordinator compered the event.
During the event along with the participants, all scientists, administrative, finance, technical, supporting and project staff of ICAR-CCARI participated in the function.
