An Interface Meeting held with Dronier Avigation and Fly Cocobot team on exploring possible collaboration

 

    An interface meeting was held with Dronier Avigation and Fly Cocobot team under the Chairmanship of Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa, at the Institute on April 24, 2023. The director highlighted that developing the Fly Cocobot (a drone based coconut harvesting device) would be beneficial to farmers in easier harvesting, reducing risk and cost of cultivation. The Fly cocobot team comprising of Dr. A. R. Desai, Retired Principal Scientist, ICAR-CCARI, Goa, Prof. Rajendra S. Gad, Vice Dean & Head of Department, Goa University and Mr. Abhiraj Pednekar, Goa University, Mr. R. S. Singh, C.M.D. and Founder, Dronier Avigation, Buxar and Mr. Pankaj Singh, Dronier Avigation, Dr. Shripad Bhat, Senior Scientist (Agril. Economics) & Nodal Officer, ITMU, ICAR-CCARI, Goa participated in this meeting. Discussion was held on design of Fly Cocobot and tangible collaboration leading to the fabrication and development of the prototype of fly Cocobot. The team also visited Goa University and apprised Prof. Harilal B Menon, Vice-Chancellor, Goa University about the discussions. The ITMU of Institute coordinated the meeting with technical assistance from Mr. Vishwajeet Prajapati, Technical Officer.
