ICAR-KVK, CCARI, Goa organized training cum demonstration on nano urea & DAP foliar nutrition using drone

ICAR-KVK, CCARI, North Goa, organized a training cum demonstration on nano urea & DAP foliar nutrition using an agri drone on January 10, 2025, at Torxem, Pernem, Goa. The event focused on demonstrating the practical applications of drones in agriculture. Mr. Rahul Kumar, Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy), explained the numerous benefits of using drones in agriculture. He discussed how drones contribute to increased security, higher operational efficiency, water conservation, cost-effectiveness, and ease of maintenance while also addressing key agricultural challenges and promoting sustainable practices.

Mr. Vishwajeet Prajapati, Technical Officer (Computer), provided in-depth insights into the operational protocols for uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) in agricultural applications. He emphasized the importance of safety measures and highlighted best practices to ensure the effective and responsible use of drones in field operations. Nine participants attended (5 males and four females) and gained valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in using drones for precision agriculture. The program was coordinated by Mr Vishwajeet Prajapati, Mr Rahul Kumar, and Dr N. Bommayasamy, ensuring smooth execution and a productive learning environment for all participants.
