First visit of students and staff from Don Bosco College of Agriculture, Sulcorna, Goa to the Institute
The first batch of B. Sc (Agriculture) students and staff members from Don Bosco College of Agriculture, Sulcorna, Goa had visited the institute on 1st October, 2015. This was their first field trip outside the college campus. The students were accompanied by Director of Don Bosco College of Agriculture, Fr. Felix Serrao sdb and officiating Principal, Dr. Cassie Rodrigues, Mr. Miguel Braganza, Faculty in Horticulture and other staff members. During the visit, Dr. Narendra Pratap Singh, Director of the institute welcomed the students and enquired them about their individual background and interest in agriculture. Dr. Gopal R. Mahajan Scientist (Soil Science) of the institute gave a lecture in relevant to their B.Sc (Agri) curriculum and showed the students the laboratory facilities in the Soil Science Section during morning session. In the afternoon session, an exposure visit for students was arranged in the Animal Sciences Unit by Dr. E. B. Chakurkar, Principal Scientist and Section-in-Charge (Animal Science). Dr. Cassie Rodrigues, officiating Principal, proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. Safeena S.A, Scientist (Floriculture and Landscaping) and Co-ordinator, HRD Cell of the institute, coordinated the visit.
