Dr. D.C. Verma, Hon’ble MLA, Meerganj (Bareilly), Govt. of UP visited ICAR CCARI

             Dr. D.C. Verma, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Meerganj (Bareilly), Government of Uttar Pradesh and President, Uttar Pradesh Veterinary Council visited ICAR CCARI, Goa on 17.09.2024. Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR CCARI received Hon’ble MLA and briefed him about the various research activities undertaken by the CCARI for the betterment of the coastal farmer of the country. He also informed about various magnificent achievements of the Institute regarding coastal agricultural research and farmers upliftment due to CCARI’s interventions.

            A farm visit to the Institute farm was organised where Hon’ble MLA has visited and appreciated all the activities like Biomass Recycling Unit for vermicomposting, Jalopchar facility and Demonstration unit for processing and value addition of cattle dung and urine; marching towards zero waste with recycling of water and nutrients, an important component of Swachha Bharat Mission. He also visited paddy research field, animal science unit, fodder germplasm block and nursery units and congratulated the CCARI staff for the diversified activities for coastal agriculture. Farm visit was coordinated by Shri Vinod Ubarhande (FS), along with Dr. Shirish D. Narnaware, Senior Scientist (Veterinary Pathology), Dr. R. Solomon Rajkumar, Senior Scientist (Livestock Products Technology).
