Institute participated in Exhibition at Canacona
ICAR- CCARI, Old Goa, participated in an exhibition organized by Pragati Mahila Co-op Bank Ltd at SAG Grounds, Canacona on 07/12/2015. The main objective of the programme was to create awareness among Rural Youth, Women and Farmers about different schemes in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Handicrafts etc.. Dr. E.B. Chakurkar, Principal Scientist (Animal Reproduction & Gynecology) spoke on the different technologies available with Institute for the benefit of farmers. Dr. A.R. Desai explained about different cashew varieties of the Institute and the byproducts of nutmeg and processing. Dr. Priyadevi and Dr. Mathala J. Gupta briefed the farmers on TSP programmes carried out at Khola & Gaodongrim villages. About 300 farmers visited the stall and enquired about the displayed technologies.
