Technology & Business Awareness Camp
“Technology & Business Awareness Camp” was organized at this Institute by the ITMU and Business Planning and Development Unit, Central Plantation Crops Research Institute, Kasaragod on 20th March, 2014. As a chief guest of the programme, Dr. Narendra Pratap Singh, Director and Chairman ITMU, ICAR Research Complex for Goa in his inaugural speech highlighted the need for commercializing the technologies developed by ICAR. Further he also appreciated the efforts of the officials of CPCRI Kasaragod to organise “Technology & Business Awareness Camp” at this Institute.
Dr. K. Muralidharan, Head, Social Sciences, CPCRI, Kasaragod, showcased the various commercializable technologies such as activated charcoal, coconut chips, snowball tender nut machine, Trichoderma cake, coconut punching and cutting machine, virgin coconut oil, coconut milk etc. developed at CPCRI, Kasaragod while Shri Nitin Srivastav, Business Manager, CPCRI, Kasaragod highlighted the prospects of commercialisation of the technologies. He had a case to case interaction with all the participants and also made a fruitful discussion on “Successful Business Incubates: Case Studies & Scope of Business Incubation”.
Various stalk holders Viz representatives of Goa Bagayatdar society, agro-ecotourism centres, and prospective enterprising farmers besides all the scientists of the Institute and SMS KVK participated in the above camp. Camp was concluded by formal vote of thanks by Shri V.Y. Gaonkar, PC, KVK.
