Aqua Goa Mega Fish Festival-2016
Fisheries section of ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute has actively participated with a scientific exhibition stall in the Aqua Goa fish fest-2016 at Mapusa, North Goa organised by Directorate of Fisheries, Govt. of Goa in collaboration with the NFDB, Hyderabad from 16th to 17th January, 2016. Hon. Deputy Chief Minister of Goa, Shri. Francis D’Souza inaugurated the event in the presence of Hon. Fisheries minister, Shri. Avertano Furtado and Hon. Minister for Arts and Culture, Shri. Dayanand Mandrekar. The moto of the festival is to promote Goa’s rich fish culture and fishing industry and to create awareness among the general public. The fisheries section of ICAR-CCARI displayed posters representing their research and extension activities in the stall. Mrs. Manju Lekshmi N and Mr. Sreekanth GB, Scientist (FRM) co-ordinated the arrangements for the exhibition.
