Inauguration of training programme on Artificial Insemination in dairy animals
Inauguration of training programme on Artificial Insemination in Dairy Animals sponsored by Goa State Co-op Milk Producers’ Union Ltd. (Goa Dairy), Ponda was held on 22nd November, 2017 at the Conference Hall of the Institute. Dr. N.C. Sawant, Managing Director, Goa Dairy was the Chief Guest of the inaugural function. Dr. E.B. Chakurkar, Director (A), ICAR-CCARI presided over the function and in his speech, he highlighted the importance of artificial insemination in dairy animals. Dr. R.B. Dhuri, Manager (AH/PEN), Goa Dairy, Shri. B. Komarpant, Director, Goa Dairy and Dr. Anil Phadte, Asst. Manager, Goa Dairy also graced the event.
A training kit containing training manual, technical brochures, AI gun and aprons were handed over to the trainees on the occasion. Dr. Gokuldas PP, Scientist (AR) & Training Coordinator briefed about the training schedule and proposed vote of thanks. Seven participants selected from different societies under Goa Dairy, participated in the program. Training programme for a period of 45 days starting from 22nd November, 2017 to 6th January, 2018 will cover technical sessions on A.I, estrus detection, semen handling, first-aid practices as well as field exposure in A.I. technique.
