ADG (Soil and Water Management) and Director, ICAR-Indian Institute of Water Management, Bhubaneswar visited ICAR-CCARI, Goa

 

    Dr. A. Velmurugan, Assistant Director General (Soil and Water Management) and Dr. Arjamadutta Sarangi, Director, ICAR-Indian Institute of Water Management (ICAR-IIWM), Bhubaneswar visited ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-CCARI), Goa on 17.04.2023. Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI extended a warm welcome to ADG (Soil and Water Management) and Director, ICAR-IIWM. Hon’ble ADG took stock of Institute activities, visited experimental plots of crop sciences, horticultural sciences, fisheries science, dairy cattle unit, eco-friendly wastewater treatment facility, hydroponic fodder production unit, fodder museum and appreciated the efforts being taken by the Institute in enhancing farmers income and suggested many improvements. Later in the evening, ADG interacted with all the staffs of the Institute and then he interacted with all the scientists and SMS of ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, North Goa. He has reviewed all the projects undertaken by the scientists and suggested few important areas of research where institute is expected to initiate research work to increase the visibility of the institute.
