Singh: Ber (Indian jujube)

Ber tree is associated with this rashi. Ber is a spiny, evergreen shrub or small tree up to 15 m height; spreading crown; stipular spines and many drooping branches. The dried fruits are used as anodyne, anticancer, pectoral, refrigerant, sedative, stomach-ache, styptic and tonic. They are considered to purify the blood and aid digestion. The root is used in the treatment of dyspepsia. A decoction of the root has been used in the treatment of fevers (Palejkar C. J. et al., 2012)
