Konkani learning workshop at ICAR-CCARI, Old Goa

     ARSSF Goa unit had organized a workshop on ‘Basic Konkani learning’ for the scientists and non- Konkani learning staffs of ICAR- Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Old Goa from 18-20 November, 2019 in collaboration with Directorate of official language, Govt. of Goa. On the first day, the guests were welcomed with flowers by Dr. Maneesha S.R., Scientist (Fruit Science) & Secretary, ARSSF Goa unit. The programme was inaugurated by Principal Scientist (Fruit Science) & President ARSSF Goa unit, Dr. S. Priya Devi in presence of Mr. Anil Sawant, Asst. Director, Directorate of official language, Govt. of Goa., Joint Secretary of ARSSF, Dr. Mathala Juliet Gupta and resource person, Dr. Kiran Budkuley. There were classes on history of Konkani language, vocabulary related to agriculture and allied sectors and framing of sentences to converse and transfer our technologies to Goan farmers.

            On the second day, the resource person, Mr. Anant Agni was felicitated with memento by Director (A), Dr. E. B. Chakurkar. On the third day, Dr. Kiran Budkuley took classes on sentence formation and tenses. Study materials were distributed to all the participants and feedback was collected. The resource persons and department officials were felicitated by memento and spice kits by Dr. Mathala J. Gupta and Dr. S. Priya Devi. The programme was concluded with formal vote of thanks given by Dr. Maneesha S.R.
