ICAR-CCARI participated in State Level Kisan Mela and Farmers Innovation Meet organized at CAZRI, Jodhpur
The Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI), Jodhpur organized a State Level Kisan Mela and Farmer’s Innovation Meet at Jodhpur during 13-15 September, 2018. The inauguration programme was organized on 13th September, 2018 and Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India inaugurated the programme. Other delegates present during the programme were Shri Jogram Patel, MLA, Luni, Shri Balram Singh, Vice Chancellor of Agriculture University, Jodhpur. Kumar Gupta, Divisional Commissioner, Jodhpur, Shri R. K. Thanvi, Chief General Manager, NABARD, Dr. P. L. Saroj, Director, ICAR - CIAH, Bikaner, Dr. A. K. Tomar, Director, ICAR - CSWRI, Avikanagar, Dr. N. V. Patel, Director, National Research Centre on Camel, Bikaner. Dr. S. K. Singh, ICAR – ATARI, Jodhpur, Dr. Gopal Lal, Director, ICAR - NRCSS, Ajmer. During the programme more then 10,000 farmers and farm women visited Kisan Mela. More than 80 exhibition stalls were present for the information of farmers. From seeds to farm implements all types of information for farmer were available. ICAR – Institute from various sector of Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Goa were present. KVK of different institute also participated. ICAR-CCARI also had a stall with various posters and products. During farmers visit to the stall they were explained about various products and produces of Institute as they were rare commodities for the farmers of Rajasthan. Farmers were delighted by the information and took Institute leaflet for further communication about technologies. Mela was a grand success and came to closing on 15th September, 2018.
