Training programme on Advances in production technology of Banana
A field level training programme on ‘Advances in production technology of banana’ was conducted by ICAR-CCARI, Goa on 19.02.2016 at Ibrahmpur village of Pernem Taluka as part of the ‘Mera Goan Mera Gaurav programme’. The objective of this programme was to introduce the advanced technologies in banana production to the farmers with the help of audio-visual aids. The technical session was handled by Ms. Maneesha S. R., Scientist (Fruit Science), ICAR-CCARI, Goa. The director of the institute Dr. N. P. Singh, Dr. E. B. Charkurkar, Dr. Gopal Mahajan, PC of KVK Dr. H.R.C. Prabhu, Dr. Sanjay Udharwar, Village Panchayat officials, Manager of State Bank of India, Ibrahmpur branch, scientist trainees of the National Academy of Agricultural Research Management , Hyderabad were present in the programme along with farmers of the village. Distribution of banana suckers and vegetable seeds to the farmers was also done after this programme.
