The 46th Institute Management Committee meeting was held on 15th july, 2017 at ICAR- Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Ela, Old Goa. The following members attended the meeting Dr. E.  Dr.E.B. Chakurkar, Director (Acting)  welcomed  all the new  members of the IMC and briefed  on  the major achievements and activities  that  took place in the Institute during the intervening  period since the last IMC meeting held on 28th June, 2016.  In  his introductory remarks, the Director  highlighted  the  significant  research and Transfer of Technology achievement  made  by  the Institute  for the benefit  of the farming community  in the State of Goa .  He also highlighted about the release of  three cashew  varieties  and two salt- tolerant varieties in Goa.  It was also informed  that  Shri Babu  Narhari Komarpant, IMC Member was awarded the Best Farmer Award and Goa bagged  the  Plant Genome Saviour Community Award  for  Khola/Canacona Chili Cultivators Group, South Goa.   The agenda  points were discussed in length and the proceedings  of the meeting have  been forwarded to the Council for approval.  The meeting  ended at  1.00.p.m. with a vote of thanks by Shri Somnath, Administrative Officer.
