His Excellency, Honorable Governor of Goa Shri. Bharat Vir Wanchoo Inaugurated 10th National Symposium on “Biotechnological approaches for Plant Protection: Constraints and Opportunities’’ at ICAR Research Complex for Goa, Goa on 27th January, 2013.

      

Shri. Manohar Parrikar, the chief minister of Goa visited the ICAR Research Complex for Goa on 06.03.2013 evening. He inaugurated the pig furrowing unit and poultry hatchery unit, established through Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY), Government of India.

      

Hon’ble Governor of Goa Shri. Bharat Vir Wanchoo, visited the ICAR Research Complex for Goa on 01.04.2013 on the occasion of Foundation day of the Institute.

      

An awareness training cum demonstration on Value addition in Jack and kokum fruits was conducted at ICAR Research Complex for Goa on 3rd April 2013. This programme sponsored by Tribal Sub Plan, was conducted exclusively for the benefit of tribal folk. It was attended by 25 participants from villages like Shirdona, Quitula, Podural, Valpoi, Pilar and Dongrim

      

Training cum demonstration on Value addition in Jack fruit was conducted at ICAR Research Complex for Goa on 15th and 16th April 2013. This programme was conducted for the benefit of rural folk of Goa. It was attended by more than 100 participants from villages like Cotigaon and Gaondongrim (Canacona), Morpirla (Quepem), Dhave (Volpoi) and Aldona (Bardez).

      

29th Annual workshop of National Network Research Project on Arid Legumes was inaugurated at ICAR Research Complex for Goa on 24th May, 2013 in the presence of Shri. Hage Khoda, Secretary (Agricuture), Govt. Of Goa; Prof. B. B. Singh, Visiting Professor, GB Pantnagar University of Agricultural Sciences; Shri. U. B. Kakode, Director, Directorate of Ariculture; Dr. A. Henry, Nodal Scientist, NNRP on Arid legumes and Dr. Narendra Pratap Singh, Director, ICAR Research Complex for Goa.

 

      

An awareness programme on “Clean milk production” was organized under the aegis of Tribal sub plan and a project sponsored by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India under societal development programme on “Approaches towards combating zoonotic and foodborne infections through community participation” at Bhati, Taluka: Sanguem in collaboration with Goa State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd., Curti on 13 December, 2013.
