Training-cum-Awareness Programme on Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers Right Act, 2001 was held on 1st March, 2011.

Shri. Pratapsingh Rane, Hon’ble speaker, Goa Legislative Assembly, Govt. of Goa inaugurated the porogramme

State level training programme on “Integrated Pest and disease management in major spice crops of Goa” on 20th April 2011.

Shri Pratapsingh Rane, Honorable Speaker Government of Goa, presided the function and Shri. Shripad Naik Honorable MP (North Goa) was the chief guest.

Shri Sharad Pawar, Honorable Union Minister of Agriculture & Food Processing Industries, Government of India, visited the Institute on 18-05-2011. During his visit, the minister was appraised of the research work and programmes carried out at the Institute.

The Study Group of the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture visited the Institute on 27th June, 2011.
