ICAR – CCARI, Goa organized a Field Day on “Scientific Coconut Cultivation”@ Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostav

    ICAR – Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (CCARI), Goa and ICAR – Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), North Goa organized a Field Day on “Scientific Coconut Cultivation”, under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Assonora, Bardez, Goa on 21st March, 2022. The programme was sponsored by Coconut Development Board, Regional Office, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The programme was organized in collaboration with Pragati Self Help Group, Assonora village. Shri H. R. C. Prabhu, Senior Scientist and Head In-charge, ICAR – KVK, North Goa briefed about the scientific coconut cultivation which included – varieties, agronomical practices, inter cropping, pest and disease management. Smt. Sunetra Talaulikar, Subject Matter Specialist (Home Science), ICAR – KVK, North Goa, coordinated the programme and in her address she spoke on virgin coconut oil and other post-harvest products. Smt. HemaBugde, President of Pragatiself help group proposed vote of thanks. The programme was attended by 30 farm women. The programme was documented by Shri Vishwajeet Prajapati, Technical Officer (Computers), ICAR – KVK, North Goa.
