Description

Dorsal surface of the body is blue-green or metallic blue, ventral silver or white; yellow stripe from gill opening upper end to caudal peduncle is present. The opercle edge is with a black spot. Body elongate and compressed moderately. Eyes are large, shorter than snout length and adipose eyelid very well developed. Pectoral fins are falcate in shape.

Feeds on small shrimps and fishes
