Description
The snout has a greatly prolonged, beak-like lower jaw, equal to, or longer than head length. The upper jaw is short, triangular and scaly; its width is 0.6-0.8 times in its length. Preorbital distance is 1.3-2.1 times in diameter of orbit and 0.75-1.2 times in length of upper jaw. It has 13-16 anal fin rays; caudal fin emarginated, not strongly forked.
