Description
Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-14; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 12 - 14. Body covered with prickles. Caudal fin is emarginated. Body yellowish-brown or greenish-brown dorsally; silver ventrally. Pectoral and dorsal fins yellow or white; anal fin white; caudal fin yellow, edged with white dorsally and ventrally.

Maximum length: 26.5 cm (SL), common length: 15-20 cm (SL)
Diet
Feeds on shrimps, small crabs, squids and small fishes.
Utilization
Not marketed commercially in Goa.
