Description
Body elongate. Snout pointed; upper head profile slightly convex; a small, sharp spine on opercle; Swimbladder with 2 postcoelomic extensions. The species with back light brown in colour, lower ventral flanks and belly whitish or silvery, without dark blotches. Both dorsal fins and caudal fin dusky, other fins pale.

Feed on small invertebrates like polychaete worms, small shrimps and amphipods
