Description
The males are bright blue in colour with white spots and with characteristically long chellipeds, while the females have a duller green/brown, with a more rounded carapace.

Diet
Feeds on bivalves, fish and, to a lesser extent, microalgae
Utilization
Marketed fresh, live and frozen. Crab meat is exported in frozen form
